Academic Assessment at National Park Community College

The overall goal of academic assessment at National Park Community College is to develop and implement meaningful measures of students' academic performance and learning. The commitment of faculty and administration to excellent teaching improves and deepens student learning. Assessment is the ongoing process of:

• Establishing clear, measurable expected outcomes of student learning.
• Systematically gathering, analyzing, and interpreting evidence to determine how well performance matches those expectations; and
• Using the resulting information to understand and improve student learning throughout National Park Community College.
