NURSING PROGRAM SELECTION PROCESS

Associate Degree (RN) Nursing Program Selection

  • Students will be admitted based on ranking GPA of required general education courses with priority given to students with over 20 hours, followed by students with 15 to 19 hours. Grades of non-Math/Science courses taken more than seven years prior to admission will be considered on an individual basis.
  • A percentage of slots are maintained for eligible high school seniors qualifying for a three year track.
  • Science courses must be taken within seven years.

Practical Nursing (Certificate) Program Selection

The admission process to the Certificate (PN) Nursing Program is selective. Applicants for the Certificate (PN) are chosen using the percentage scores from the Nurse Entrance Test, and the reference forms. All courses required for the Nursing Program must be completed with a “C” or better. Nursing courses include a theory/classroom grade and a clinical grade. Both components of the course must be passed to progress in the program.
