The College and the Community National Park Community College is located in Hot Springs AR, a beautiful resort community of over 50,000 approximately 45 minutes southwest of Little Rock . The local economy centers on tourism, manufacturing, retirement living, and medical sciences. Tourism attractions include the thermal waters of the National Park, hiking trails, horse racing at Oaklawn Park, five nearby lakes, outstanding golf courses, and a thriving art community. The fourth largest community college in the state, NPCC enrolls approximately 3,000 credit students each semester in both associate degree and certificate programs. |

Computer Lab Technician National Park Community College is currently seeking a Computer Lab Tech, state classified position grade C110, to work in the Computer Services Department. This is a full-time position with an entry level salary of $22,919 plus excellent benefits. Responsibilities: The Computer Lab Tech provides hardware and software support of personal computers in an enterprise-networked environment. A willingness to work flexible hours to include nights and weekends is required. Qualifications: The successful candidate will have the minimum of a high school education plus one year of pertinent work experience; a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; and the ability to troubleshoot and make minor repairs to computer lab & Audio Visual equipment. Good oral and written communication skills are essential. Employee must have reliable transportation and be able to lift heavy objects, must be dependable, and able to work independently. Audio Visual experience is preferred. Workforce Specialist National Park Community College is currently seeking a Workforce Specialist for the Community and Corporate Training Department. This is a 12-month position that reports directly to the Director of Workforce Development with excellent benefits and a competitive salary. Responsibilities: The Workforce Specialist is an integral part of the Workforce Development team that will initiate/maintain customer partnerships, develop coursework and coordinate all aspects of assigned customized training programs. These duties include program development, scheduling, identifying instructors, ensuring training success, program and instructor evaluation, and other duties associated with program delivery. The position will also assist with grant writing, grant maintenance and will provide leadership for the apprentice programs under the guidelines of the Arkansas Department of Labor. Qualifications: The successful applicant will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field, Master's degree preferred. Applicants should have five or more years of experience developing and training projects. OSHA Safety and Forklift training preferred; ability to achieve certifications required. Excellent computer skills including proficiency using MS Office software is required; marketing and/or sales background a plus. Program Director in Respiratory Therapy National Park Community College is seeking a Respiratory Therapy Program Director. This is a 12-month position that reports directly to the Chairperson of Health Sciences. This position offers excellent benefits, state-of-the-art facilities, and opportunities for professional development. Initial funding for this program is provided by the Title III grant Strengthening Initiative with ongoing commitment from the College. Start date will be July 1, 2012. Responsibilities: The Program Director is responsible for all aspects of an accredited respiratory care program, including administration, implementation and evaluation of the program. The director is also responsible for meeting classroom, clinical and campus lab learning activities as well as student advising and committee work. Qualifications: The successful candidate will be a RRT with a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s preferred, four years of registered RT experience with two years of clinical practice, national RT certification and eligible for Arkansas licensure. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of two years experience teaching in an accredited RT program as a faculty member or as a clinical preceptor. This is a 12-month position that reports directly to the Chairperson of Health Sciences.
