What is the CARES Program?   For More Information contact:

Garland County CARES is a drug and alcohol prevention coalition of community organizations and individuals interested in reducing substance use/abuse in Garland County including alcohol related motor vehicle crashes resulting in injury or death.

CARES is sponsoring a FREE intervention screening, the BASICS program,  for students who may be experiencing the negative effects of drug or alcohol use.  BASICS brochures have been distributed to all offices and division chairs on campus. Please  distribute brochures to faculty and staff in your areas.  

Please contact  the Admissions or Counseling offices to refer students who may be at risk.  Your cooperation and assistance is greatly appreciated.
