Mission Statement NPCC Financial Aid Staff

NPCC is committed to providing access to higher education programs to all students who qualify. The cost of attending NPCC depends on students' residency, program of study and other factors. Financial assistance may help students with tuition, books, fees, and in some cases uniforms. (See a table of estimated costs for tuition, books, supplies, and fees as a suggested guide for calculating college expenses.)College.gov
We also offer a wide variety of Scholarship assistance.

Steps for Applying and Completing Financial Aid at NPCC

*Go online and get a pin number at www.pin.ed.gov

*Go to the FAFSA website and apply for financial aid at      www.fafsa.ed.gov.  Complete the 2010-2011 for summer 2011 and/or the 2011-2012 for Fall 2011/Spring 2012/Summer 2012.

*Once enrolled please monitor your OASIS account for information that is needed to complete your file (it is listed in the To Do List Area).

* Go to www.npcc.edu > click on OASIS > Log on by using the first initial of your first name and your full last name (all together, no spaces).  IE: jsmith.  Your password will be comprised of the last four digits of your social security number and your birth date (month and day only) IE: 12340107. For log in problems, email techsupport@npcc.edu or call 760-4171 and ask for the password to be reset.

*To locate the “To Do List” click on self service > student center> on the right look at the “to do list”.

*Students are sometimes selected for verification and if you have been selected for verification of your income, you will need to fill out the independent or dependent verification form located on our website www.npcc.edu > Financial Aid > Forms, along with a signed copy of your federal tax form used to complete the FAFSA.  Students that had to list parent information also need a signed copy of the parent federal tax return.   If this is required, it will be listed on your To Do List in Oasis.

*Submit the required forms and documentation by fax to (501) 760-4354, by mail to NPCC, Financial Aid, 101 College Drive, Hot Springs, AR 71913 or in person.

*Once all forms are submitted and processed, your financial aid such as PELL and loans will be awarded on OASIS.  You will need to go to the Accept/Decline awards and in order to receive student loans you will be REQUIRED to accept your loan offers.  On the left of your OASIS screen, click on Self-Service > Student Center > Accept/Decline awards > Year then you can accept or decline the loan amounts.  In order for your loans to process, you will be REQUIRED to complete the Entrance Counseling and Master Promissory Note by visiting www.studentloans.gov

*When books go on sale for the semester, if you have PELL or accepted loans on your Oasis account, then you can charge your books online or will be able to charge them in the campus bookstore in person by presenting identification.
