What is Phi Theta Kappa?

Phi Theta Kappa is a national scholastic honor organization whose goal is to recognize outstanding academic achievement in community and junior colleges. Membership is by invitation from the Chapter. To be eligible, a student must have a GPA of 3.5 or better in a minimum of 12 semester credit hours of college level courses completed at NPCC.

All Phi Theta Kappa Membership Applications and fees must be turned in to the Business Office by November 17, 2011.

Phi Theta Kappa Induction: Friday, December 2, 2011 at 7:00pm in the Martin Eisele Auditorium, Dierks Center.

One of many service programs offered by Phi Theta Kappa is the Pet Therapy Program.

Mission

The purpose of Phi Theta Kappa shall be to recognize and encourage scholarship among two-year college students. To achieve this purpose, Phi Theta Kappa shall provide opportunity for the development of leadership and service, for an intellectual climate for exchange of ideas and ideals, for lively fellowship for scholars, and for stimulation of interest in continuing academic excellence.
