Applying for Graduation
Even if you do not plan to participate in the commencement ceremony, you must complete a graduation application to receive your diploma. Students should confer with their Advisor to verify that their declared major is correct and that they are on track to graduate. Students must submit an application to graduate online via OASIS Self Service; please see the instructions to Apply for Graduation online or see your Advisor for more information.
While some divisions may have individual graduation events/celebrations, please note that there is only one annual graduation commencement ceremony for all NPCC graduates which is held in May for all Fall, Spring, and Summer graduates for the current academic year. Students are highly encouraged to participate in the May commencement ceremony.
Diplomas will be mailed after all degrees have been verified, approximately 2-4 weeks after the degree has been conferred.
Transcripts are the official document indicating the degree. When requesting a transcript with degree posted, be sure to request that the transcript be printed only after the degree has been conferred.
All candidates for graduation must submit an Application to Graduate and have satisfied the requirements for graduation listed below:
Students may meet the graduation requirements listed in the catalog in effect at the time they enter the institution, or those listed in any later catalog. Exceptions to this policy include requirements from a catalog more than three years old or changes in a program or curriculum mandated by external accrediting agencies.
