PCLM 64 - Pre-Algebra

This class will review basic arithmetic skills as well as prepare for entry into algebra classes. Topics in Module One include whole numbers, fractions, decimals; Module Two addresses basic algebra, ratio and proportion, and percent; finally, Module Three includes signed numbers, measurement and units, and basic geometry. Students are placed into Modules One, Two, or Three by the COMPASS diagnostics administered in the Testing Center. Successful completion of Pre-Algebra through Module Three with a “C” or better is required to progress to the Beginning Algebra (PLCM 0074) Modules. Pre-requisite: An ACT score of 11 - 17 or a COMPASS score of 17 - 47 in Pre-Algebra within the preceding three years. Diagnostics are required for enrolling in Pre-Algebra. Fall, Spring, Summer.
