STAFF POSITIONS

 Grant Coordinator for the Health Care Insurance Training program

National Park Community College is currently seeking a full time temporary Grant Coordinator for the Health Care Insurance Training program. NPCC is one of seven colleges in the state of Arkansas chosen to lead the training development, implementation and facilitation of the Health Care Act for Arkansans. The position can be funded up to $4000 per month for a period of 8 months dependent upon the candidate's experience and qualifications.

The Grant Coordinator will coordinate grant activities, assist in curriculum development and deployment, hire instructors, facilitate training, manage partnerships with other community colleges and coordinate training classes throughout the South Central region as outlined by the Health Care Insurance Training Program Grant. This position will complete all required grant reporting and will travel throughout the state to assist in the delivery of training and completion of required grant duties.

The qualified candidate will be a self-starter; deadline driven who possesses the ability to develop work procedures and manage complex information with little supervision. Exceptional computer skills are required as well as the ability to coordinate multiple training projects and priorities. An Associate Degree is required, Bachelor's Degree preferred; grant facilitation/coordination experience is highly desired.

 Concurrent Credit Coordinator

National Park Community College is currently seeking a Concurrent Credit Coordinator. The coordinator serves as a liaison between the high schools and National Park Community College. The coordinator must keep current with ADHE and State Guidelines regarding concurrent credit, maintain policies within the concurrent credit program at National Park, and work closely with the Admissions and Registrar Departments at NPCC to insure that NPCC policies are followed in regard to concurrent credit classes. The coordinator must also work with the various Academic Departments at NPCC to maintain the classes offered and explore new opportunities for concurrent credit.

The concurrent credit coordinator must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, must have excellent organizational and computer skills, have knowledge of both secondary and post secondary education systems, and have excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of entrance requirements to college and entrance exams is a plus. A Bachelor's degree is required, Master's degree preferred; salary dependent on degree and experience.

Criminal Justice Instructor

National Park Technology Center is currently seeking an instructor for the high school Criminal Justice program. This is a full-time, ten month, high school teaching position beginning August 1, 2013.

Preferred qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Criminal Justice or related subject, a secondary teaching certificate (or be eligible to attain a teaching certificate), and a minimum five years experience in law enforcement.

Nursing Faculty

National Park Community College is seeking a Nursing Faculty Position. Primary responsibilities include working with a team to create classroom and clinical learning activities in the Associate Degree RN program including teaching in the mental health component of the program.  Duties also include continuous review, planning, evaluation of the program for effectiveness and achievement of accreditation standards.  Student advising and committee work will be expected.  

Requirements: Master's degree in Nursing with nursing experience but will consider baccalaureate degree in Nursing with experience in mental health.  Preference will be given to  candidates with teaching experience.  Candidates must hold Arkansas RN licensure.

Emergency Management System Program Director/Instructor

National Park Community College is currently seeking applicants for the Emergency Management System Program Director/Instructor, a full time position with a 12 month contract teaching didactic, clinical, and field internship courses in the EMS Program and other Allied Health courses as needed.   Applicants for Program Director/Instructor should have a minimum of a Master's degree for EMT-Paramedic; certification by Arkansas Department of Health (ADH) as an EMT Instructor; Certification by ADH and the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician as a Paramedic; three years of field experience as a Paramedic; a minimum of two years of teaching experience in Emergency Medical Technology; and two certifications as an Arkansas Affiliate of American Heart Association (1) Basic Life Support Instructor and (2) Advanced Life Support Instructor.

Applicants who have at least a Bachelor's degree and are currently pursuing the master's degree may be considered for the directorship but must have demonstrated satisfactory progress toward degree completion and total completion within 5 years.

Health Information Technology and Allied Health Faculty

National Park Community College Health Science Division is currently seeking applicants for a full-time position teaching Health Information Technology and Allied Health Courses. Applicants should have at minimum a Master's Degree in related areas of the Health Sciences, successful experience teaching in both traditional and online classes. Applicant must have AHIMA credentials or agree to complete with satisfactory academic progress within five years of hiring.

Duties include tutoring, advising, assisting students in the Virtual Lab that accompanies HIT coursework and committee services within the Health Sciences Division and National Park Community College.

PART-TIME FACULTY POSITIONS

Photography Instructor

National Park Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor in Photography.

Applicants should be familiar with view camera technique using film and digital backs, black and white and color film developing and printing, and alternative photographic techniques such as gum bichromate, cyanotype and solarization. A thorough knowledge of Photoshop and Lightroom is expected.

 Aerospace Instructors

National Park Community College is seeking experts in the field of aerospace/aviation to teach a variety of classes. Primary needs are instruction in aircraft sheet metal, composites and general aviation. Our hands-on classes provide students with the opportunity to gain the knowledge, skills and abilities to work in a variety of aerospace companies in our region.

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of five years in the aerospace industry plus expert knowledge and recent hands-on experience with aircraft sheet metal and/or composites. Teaching and developing aerospace curriculum is preferred. A&P license highly desirable but not required.

Positions are part-time on an as needed basis. Classes are taught morning, afternoons and evenings, so flexible scheduling is available.

Part-Time RN Instructors

National Park Community College is currently seeking part-time instructors for the RN program.  Specific needs include faculty with clinical experience in medical-surgical settings, acute care, or long term care.   

Responsibilities include: working with the nursing team to reinforce class content while supervising students in the clinical setting, assisting students to develop skills competency, and  evaluating student performance.

Requirements:

A Masters degree with 18 graduate hours in the specific discipline to be taught are required. Teaching experience is preferred. Position will be filled based upon enrollment needs.
