New Employees at NPC
The Board of Trustees at National Park Community College recently approved employment of the following:
Debbie Ugbade filled the position of grant coordinator for the Health Connector Insurance Training Program. Ms. Ugbade holds a Master of Education Degree in Adult Education from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville. She earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology/ Sociology from Arkansas Tech University. Ms. Ugbade has additional graduate hours in Adult Education from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and additional hours in Education from Henderson State University. She holds a current Arkansas Teacher's Certification in Secondary Social Studies and Adult Education.
Ms. Ugbade has worked for over twenty years as a public affairs specialist for the Ouachita and Ozark and St. Francis National Forests. In that capacity, she has served as Freedom of Information Act Program Officer, Rural Community Assistance Grant Program Coordinator, Family Liaison for the Albert Pike Flood, Forest Web Manager, and many other responsibilities. Prior to the forestry position, Ms. Ugbade worked as a teacher supervisor at the Ouachita Job Corps Center.
Brad Bassett has filled the position of pre-engineering faculty in the National Park Technology Center's High School Program. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics and Teacher Licensure in Mathematics from Henderson State University.
Mr. Bassett has taught mathematics at Jessieville High School, Mountain Pine High School, and El Dorado High School. He served student internships at Glen Rose Middle School and Malvern High School.
Ryan McKinney has filled the position of criminal justice faculty in the High School Technology Center. He has completed a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from UALR and is currently working on a Master of Education Degree there. Mr. McKinney earned an Associate of Applied Science in Information Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force.
Mr. McKinney's other experience includes working for the Saline County Sheriff's Department and five years in the Air Force.
