Congratulations to 2014 TRiO Hall of Fame student, Benita Pearce!
The TRiO Student Support Services staff would like to congratulate 2014 TRiO Hall of Fame Student, Benita Pearce. Each year, TRiO programs across the region select one student who embodies the spirit of TRiO to represent their program. This student is honored in a TRiO Hall of Fame Booklet that is hand-delivered by TRiO staff members to the Arkansas congressional delegation in Washington DC. The booklet contains valuable information about the program, as well as a photo and biography of selected students. The purpose is to show the delegation the impact that the program has on our students and how they continue to overcome barriers to success.
As a 27 year old mother of three, Benita decided to come back to school. She graduated from NPCC in May with an Associate of Arts degree. She has been accepted into the Social Work Program at UALR. We are honored to have her representing us as an NPCC TRiO SSS graduate at a national level.
